Warranty Repairs

We are official service agents for the tool you have purchased from us. You can therefore be assured that we will repair or replace any faulty tool under the terms of the manufacturers warranty. We pride ourselves on our great after sales support and any product bought from us which is faulty and within the warranty period will be repaired or replaced as quickly as possible. In the case of larger machinery if the issue cannot be solved over the phone we will arrange an engineer to call to your premises. Remember manufacturers warranties will only cover you for defects and faulty components, not wear and tear, lack of maintenance or accidental damage. Standard Repairs

We repair a wide range of power tools and machinery and our expert repair engineers have years of experience in fault analysis, repairing and re-assembling your tools. Rest assured you will always receive a price quotation first before a repair is undertaken. Spares

We stock thousands of spares. We have access to millions of spares. If it is available there is a good chance we can source it for you. Identifying the correct spare part you require is crucial so we will usually require you to select from a parts diagram of the product which can be emailed/faxed/posted to you if you cannot make it to one of our stores. Each box comes equipped with the premium quality XLOCK™ system. This comprises of two 8mm thick deadlocks working in the horizontal plane and two 8mm thick hook locks working in opposing directions in the vertical plane means you have a 4 point locking system on every Sentri XLOCK™ box. This is not equaled on any site or vehicle box available today. To make life easier for you the whole system operates with 1 key in 1 lock with 1 turn. The handles have rubber pads to stop those annoying rattles when driving with a Sentri vehicle box on board. The boxes also have hydraulic dampers so that the lid clothes smoothly and doesn’t slam shut endangering your fingers. Each box has a protective tool mat as standard. The drop down handles are recessed when not in use. Every box is individually numbered and we can supply optional replacement keys should the need arise.

Stainless Steel Bench by Metal Masters Wales Ltd

Phil Pritchard, the owner of Metal Masters has had to achieve a very high standard finish to eradicate the high risk of rust as the benches are situated at the waterfront (very salty air). The finish required to meet the contractor’s requirements is 0.5RA (the RA value is the Roughness Average in microns – in layman’s terms it’s the difference between the peaks and grooves on the surface of the stainless steel only visible via a microscope – the less the difference between the two the lower the RA value).

The finishing polish was achieved using a Fein “ Grit ” machine, which is the GX75 Belt Linisher together with the GXC Centreless Polishing Module and a very fine non woven abrasive belt that Data supplied.

In this video you will see that Phil has his hands on the tube, but this is not because he is pushing it, he is merely supporting it. The material is fed through automatically. Phil does intend in investing in suitable roller supports in the near future to make the task even easier.

Third up is the C26 Plus Univeral Woodworker :

Peter Webb from Record Power demonstrated this machine to a crowd of enthusiasts. This machine has 3 class1 x 2hp motors and the machine has a planer thicknesser, circular saw, spindle moulder and sliding fence with swing arm. What impressed the enthusiasts the most was the planer thicknesser because of its tersa knife set up. This enables the user to quickly change blades once they are blunt by either reversing or replacing the blade in less than 4 minutes with no resetting involved.  This means reduced setting up times and more user time.  This an all round serious kit and a welcome addition to any workshop with limited space.

Second up is the Maxi 1 Lathe :

Record has combined with Woodfast to produce a fine machine for the serious woodturner. The machine is very heavily built with extensive use of cast iron throughout. With electronic speed control this allows the machine to be operated simply by the user at a speed which is comfortable.  People attending our woodworking show saw the machine being demonstrated with little or no vibration.

The key features were the swivel head,  heavy duty cast iron stand and legs, electronic variable speed driven by six pulleys, sturdy 1” diameter toolrest spindle and a switch that can be mounted anywhere on the machine.

Other features are 37” between centres, 20” swing over the bed, maximum bowl diameter 30”, speeds from 50-3850rpm and a 1.5hp motor.
